the following are excerpts from my senior studio arts thesis, a collection called Fragments. taking poems i had written in a senior workshop, i brought them to life through illustration using a trace print technique. most were then colored using gouache.

these pieces are taken from a children’s book i wrote and illustrated called Sam’s Birthday Balloon. the story was inspired by my love of travel and the curiosity of where a balloon might take you, something i associate with Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne.
